Full Description

ST 405055. A possible DMV at Oathill on the evidence of the 1336 Tax Rolls. (1)

There is no obvious trace of a DMV in the immediate vicinity of Oathill Farm. Minor lynchets are evident in the orchard centred ST 40460560, rig and furrow at ST 40620540 and disturbances from
gravel digging at ST 40350550. (2)

The estate of Oathill (formerly in Somerset) was part of the manor of Bere held under Wayford Manor, and belonged to the Burnel family from the 12th century until 1530. (3)
