Building record MDO43698 - Abbey Life Building

Please read our .

Summary

The national headquarters for Abbey Life, a financial services provider, opened in 1991 in the south coast town of Bournemouth. The office building was designed by GMW Architects of London who described it as 'a seaside pavilion for a seaside town'. Rather than conjuring up images of the Royal Pavilion at Brighton, this reference refers mainly to its buoy-shaped globe lights, white powder-coated panels and blue and green reflective glass.
