Monument record MDO43618 - Prehistoric field system, Milton Abbas

Vague traces of Celtic fields. Fragments of a bank and ditched field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery on the south facing slopes above Milton Abbas village. The features cover an area of over 2 ha, they are considered likely to be of later prehistoric origin and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. The

Twenty acres of almost flattened 'Celtic' fields lie north of Milton Abbas village, from ST 804019 to ST 807023. <2>
