Summary

The remains of a possible Iron Age or Roman system visible as soilmarks within a single field to the north of the Plantation, north-east of Winterborne Clenston. These remains may be associated with further field system traces to the south-west (Monument Number:205618). Traces of possible medieval ridge and furrow could also be seen (as soilmarks) extending across earlier field banks.

The remains of a possible Iron Age or Roman system visible as soilmarks at ST 8590 0453 within a single field to the north of the Plantation, north-east of Winterborne Clenston. These remains may be associated with further field system traces to the south-west (Monument Number:205618). Traces of possible medieval ridge and furrow could also be seen (as soilmarks) extending across earlier field banks.<1>
