Full Description
THORNCOMBE FARM (85970283) house, is two-storeyed, with cob walls and a modern roof; it was built late in the 18th century. On the S. front the doorway is flanked by modern casement windows and there are three similar windows on the first floor. <2>
Thorncombe is described by Hutchins as `anciently a hamlet...the hill is entirely depopulated and only a barn remaining.' It was once a dated detached part of Turnworth parish and the site is now represented by a form in Thorncombe. <4>
