Summary

A World War II tank trap located in the grounds of Deer Park Lodge, off Whitecliff Mill Street, Blandford Forum. The tank trap was constructed in 1940-41 and comprises a row of fifteen concrete cubes measuring 6 feet by 4 feet. Some of the cubes have a pointed cap. A field visit in 1998 found the cubes to be in a good condition.

Full Description

A row of 15 anti-tank cubes covering the W edge of Blandford: in very good condition - 6ft x 4ft, some having a pointed cap. Deer Park Lodge, off Whitecliff Mill Street (near Catholic Church), Blandford Forum. <1>

The anti-tank blocks were Grade II listed on 3rd November 2010. <2>
