Summary

A farmhouse built in the early nineteenth century. The building has walls of squared rubble with greensand ashlar dressings and a tiled roof with brick chimney stacks. The house is said to be on the site of an earlier building.

Full Description

Church Farm was built in 1836 on the site of a dwelling mentioned in the time of Elizabeth I. Some of the original out-buildings remain, and there is also a large circular dovecote. <1>

The present house is of modern construction, but contains some re-used material. The out-buildings are modern and there is no sign of a dovecote. <2>

ST 79832285. Church Farmhouse of two storeys with rubble and ashlar walls is of the 19th century. <4>
