Full Description

Limekiln in Incombe Head Plantation. It is of Stanier type B/D1 (1)

The limekiln is marked on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch maps epoch 1 (1885-8) and epoch 2 (1900-1). (2) (3)

On the Ordnance Survey 25-inch map epoch 3 (1928) it is marked as an Old Limekiln indicating it had gone out of use by that date. It lies on the southern edge of a quarry. (4)
