Full Description
ST 699 119. The settlement of Holwell usually known as `The Borough,' lies on the Northern boundary of the parish. With the enclosures of the 16th century and late 18th century, and the creation of turnpikes to the South, the population declined as new settlements were created elsewhere in the parish. <1>
