Full Description

Palaeolith (Acheulian) from top of Bulbarrow Hill (ST 77 05) about 18 inches below surface. Accessions No. 1945. 19.1. Purchased from Mr Nother. <1>

Mr Nother of the Grove, Dorchester died in March 1955. His relatives could not assist in locating the site of the find. The handaxe was seen in the Dorset County Museum. <2>
