Summary

: Two seemingly isolated cremation burials, located c. 10m apart (one urned, the other unurned) excavated within Area 4 of the extensive Poundbury Farm excavations. Cremated bone from the unurned burial was dated to 1400-1220 cal BC. None of the existing HER records mention these burials (they are based on evidence from the evaluation) so a new record has been created here.
