Monument record MDO43194 - Medieval or later field system, Rampisham

A field system of medieval or possibly later date is visible as a concentration of linear and curvilinear earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs taken to the north of Slough Farm, Rampisham. The features were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

A field system of medieval or possibly later date is visible as a concentration of linear and curvilinear earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs taken to the north and east of Slough Farm, Rampisham [1-7]. The features probably comprise field boundaries and trackways, possibly including a number of drainage ditches. They infill a historic field pattern of probable medieval origin. The features were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project. The majority of features are still visible on Google Earth imagery.
