Full Description

A sub-circular ditched feature is visible as a cropmark on 1940s aerial photographs at Up Sydling, Sydling St Nicholas (1). The feature comprises a 21.6m by 166.8m oval depression situated within a historic field to the south of Up Sydling. The feature may be a post medieval extractive pit. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

The feature is no longer visible on Google Earth imagery.
