A series of sub-circular ditched features are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs on Rowden Hill, Cerne Abbas (1, 2). The features may be post medieval chalk pits and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

The features are still variously visible as earthworks and cropmarks on Google Earth imagery.
