Full Description
Banked linear and curvilinear features are visible as faint earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs to the southeast of Frome St Quintin (1, 2). The features comprise a series of linear and curvilinear banks forming a series of irregular enclosures. They may represent part of a late prehistoric field system of possible Iron Age/Romano-British date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The features are still faintly visible as partial earthworks and cropmarks on Google Earth imagery.
