Full Description
Two sub-circular ditched features are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs to the west of Frome Park Coppice, Frome St Quintin (1). The larger of the two features is recorded as an old chalk pit on the OS 1st Edition map (2). It comprises an irregular depression approximately 17.8m by 19m. A smaller sub-oval depression approximately 16m by 9m is situated just over 80m to the southeast.The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The features are under vegetation/trees but are still visible on current Google Earth imagery.
