Full Description
Sub-circular ditched features are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs on the north side of Redpost Hill, Sydling St Nicholas (1). The features are recorded as old chalk pits on the OS 1st Edition map (2). They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The features are still visible on current Google Earth imagery.
