Full Description
Banked curvilinear features are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs in a field to the southeast of Church Farm, Hillfield (1, 2). The features comprise sections of curvilinear banks that appear to curve round a natural slope of ground. They are considered likely to be field boundaries or lynchets of probable medieval date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The features are still visible on current Google Earth imagery.
