Full Description
An area of irregular ridges and ditches are visible as faint earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs to the northwest of Church Farm, Batcombe (1). The features comprise low, irregular, possibly slightly curvilinear ridges and ditches although these are indistinct and their character is not clear. They may be those of medieval ridge and furrow although this is not certain. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The features are within an area of rough ground and are no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery.
