Full Description
Areas of curvilinear ridges and ditches are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs to the southeast of Woolcombe, Melbury Bubb (1). The features are typically broad and curvilinear in character and may be those of medieval ridge and furrow. One area in the south of the group at ST 60122 04524is located within a naturally formed geological hollow and may comprise features of natural origin.
The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project. They are no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery.
