Full Description
Banked and ditched linear features are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs to the south and southeast of Woolcombe, Melbury Bubb (1, 2). The features are considered likely to be historic field boundaries of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin for some is also possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
Some features are still visible as earthworks and cropmarks on current Google Earth imagery.
