Areas of broad ridged and ditched features are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs in the area of Combe Botttom, Maiden Newton (1, 2). The features may be those of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

Some of the features are still visible as earthworks on current Google Earth imagery.
