A large sub-circular pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs on Sherrins Hill, Sydling St Nicholas (1). The feature is considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pit and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

The feature is still visible on current Google Earth imagery.
