Summary
An irregular sub-oval mound is visible as an earthwork and cropmark on current Lidar and Google Earth imagery on the west side of Sydling St Nicholas. The feature is of uncertain date or origin and may be a natural geological feature but alternatively may be associated with the area of shrunken medieval setlement at this location. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

Full Description
An irregular sub-oval mound is visible as an earthwork and cropmark on current Lidar and Google Earth imagery on the west side of Sydling St Nicholas (1, 2). The feature is of uncertain date or origin and may be a natural geological feature but alternatively may be associated with the area of shrunken medieval setlement at this location. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
