Full Description
Multiple sub-circular pits and scarps are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs on Shearplace Hill, Sydling St Nicholas (1-3). The features are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
Many of the features are still visible on current Google Earth imagery.
