A sub-circular pit is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs on the northwest side of Magiston Hill, Sydling St Nicholas (1). The feature may be a post medieval chalk pit and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project. The feature is no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery.
