Full Description
A group of irregular sub-circular scoops are visible as earthworks on current Lidar imagery within Huish Plantation, Sydling St Nicholas (1). The features may be post medieval extractive pits, possibly chalk pits, although they may alternatively be disturbed banks or scarps associated with an adjacent Iron Age/Romano-British field sytem (MDO42917). They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
