A sub-circular pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs on the east side of Magiston Hill, Stratton (1). The feature is probably a post medieval chalk pit and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project. It is still visible as a cropmark on 2017 Google Earth imagery (2).
