Full Description
A large sub-circular pit is visible as an earthwork on current Lidar imagery to the east of Langford, Stratton (1). The feature is recorded as a chalk pit on the OS 1st Edition map (2). It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The feature is still clearly visible as an earthwork on current Google Earth imagery (3).
