Full Description

Banked linear features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the west of Magiston Farm, Frampton (1). The features are situated within an extensive Iron Age/Romano-British field system (MDO42859) but their curvilinear character and juxtaposition suggests historic field boundaries of possible medieval date - they appear to overlie the broader late prehistoric banks in places but the precise relationship and association is not certain. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
