A sub-circular pit is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs in a field to the northeast of Frampton (1). The feature is considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pit. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

The feature is under development on current Google Earth imagery and is no longer visible.
