Full Description

An area of possible post medieval ridge and furrow cultivation is visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs to the north of Frampton (1).The features are narrow and linear in character and occupy the southern part of a historic field. They appear to overlie broad banked linear features (MDO42851) that may be medieval strip field boundaries but could potentially include features of older, late prehistoric, origin. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

The features are no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery.
