Full Description
A series of sub-circular pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on the south side of South Field Down, Lower Magiston, Frampton (1-3). The features are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.Many are still visible as earthworks and cropmarks on current Google Earth imagery.
