Summary

The earthworks of possible medieval ridge and furrow cultivation are visible as faint earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and on current Lidar imagery to the northeast of Throop Farm, Maiden Newton, and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

The earthworks of possible medieval ridge and furrow cultivation are visible as faint earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and on current Lidar imagery to the northeast of Throop Farm, Maiden Newton, and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project (1). The features in the eastern of the two fields are no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery.
