Summary

The Pillbox Study Group list a large Second World War anti-tank ditch visible on RAF aerial photographs dated January 1947. The ditch is irregular and is present from the peripheral salt march of Poole Harbour (now beneath the Sterte Road Industrial Estate, passing south of School Lane, then immediately north of Oakdale Junior School before turning south east to join a system of anti-tank blocks.
