Full Description
The upper part of the Zig Zag Walk formerly incorperated a semi-circular platform at one of its angles (shown on modern OS digital mapping). This may originally have been part of the pillbox (possibly its base?). Google Earth photographs after 2005 show the walk re-structured to omit the platform, presumably as its cliff-edge position had become unsafe, or had subsided. The pillbox itself is presumed to have been removed, although further investigation may refute this.
