Summary

The Pillbox Study Group note that a short length of what appears to be defensive military trench can be seen on the low cliff-edge east of Coastguard Cottages boat house on Royal Air Force vertical photographs dated November 1946.

Full Description

The trench is of uncertin extent. It cannot be seen on modern aerial photographs and is presumed to be infilled, or lost to cliff-edge erosion.
