Full Description
Field boundaries and lynchets of probable medieval date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north of Evershot village [1-2]. The features were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project; they are considered likely to form part of a wider medieval strip field system and are likely to be contemporary with the ridge and furrow cultivation described in MDO42493.
