Summary

Parallel field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photograps taken in 1946, to either side of Linnet Lane to the west of Uphall Farm. The boundaries are considered likely to be of medieval date, probably an extension of the field system described in MDO42484. The boundaries were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

Full Description

Parallel field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 [1], to either side of Linnet Lane to the west of Uphall Farm. The boundaries are considered likely to be of medieval date, probably an extension of the field system described in MDO42484. The boundaries which have since been levelled were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.
