Full Description

Fragments of a probable medieval strip field system are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1970 in the vicinity of Wagtail Farm, Higher Wraxall [1]. The strip fields are 20-25m wide and are orientated NW-SE. They were were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project and are still visible although plough-levelled on Google Earth imagery [2].
