Two small post medieval chalk pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of West Hill, west of Evershot village [1]. They are not marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map but were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.
