'Old Chalk Pits' are marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the southeast of Summer Lane, Evershott [1]. They are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 [2] and were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.
