Summary

A lime kiln recorded as ‘old limekiln’ on the second edition (1900-1902) Ordnance Survey map, but not on later Ordnance Survey maps. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who could find not trace of the kiln structure.
