Full Description
An 'Old Chalk Pit' is shown on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the south east of Kingcombe Coppice, Toller Porcorum [1]. A large chalk pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project [2]. It is associated with a number of smaller, presumably contemporary, pits.
