Summary

Low earthworks are visible on lidar imagery fields surrounding Chilfrome village. They are considered to be medieval settlement features and field boundaries and include a hollow way running eastward from Holy Trinity Church towards the River Frome. The features were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

Full Description

SY588988. Several short parallel close banks over around the fishpond, and between the Church and Chilfrome House. Possible fragments of a cottage etc. to the North side of the pond on the Western edge of the village (SY585989). <1-2>
