Monument record MDO42262 - Iron Age or Roman field system, Shatcombe Lane, Toller Porcorum

A series of banked field boundaries are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery in fields to the north of Shatcombe Lane, Toller Porcorum. They appear to be an extension of the celtic field system described in MDO21627 and were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

SY551951. Trace of small rectangular Celtic fields, much reduced by ploughing have been noted, and excavated as part of the excavation programme at Woolcombe Farm. <1-2>
