Summary

An extensive system of medieval strip lynchets is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to either side of Toller Lane, Toller Porcorum. The features were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

Full Description

[Centred at SY 57079817] Well defined Md. strip lynchets, fairly regularly spaced and parallel, set in a N.W.-S.E.
direction. They are grass covered, and the lynchets are from 0.5m to 2.5m high. Visible on AP CPE/UK/1974/1386-87 <1>

Lynchets 1/2 mile E.N.E. of the church, form five terraces on a S.W. slope. <2>
