An 'Old Gravel Pit' is marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the west of Cruxton Lane, Frome Vauchurch [1]. The site is still visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project [2].
