An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the west of Wynford Wood, Wynford Eagle [1]. The pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project [2].
