'Old Chalk Pits' are marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the northeast of Lower Kingcombe [1]. A group of extractive hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project [2].
